Alma is a large female with a sleek appearance and an excellent conformation rating which is hard to find in most working line dogs. She has a friendly and outgoing disposition with solid nerves and is calm and relaxed when not working. With her willing to please attitude, she is highly attentive to her handler. Alma has excellent drive for toys, and loves to chase, tug, and fight. In tracking she is methodical and intense with deep calm nose and is very sure of herself, with correct article indication and a strong determination to complete the track.
Alma shows fantastic hardness and fighting drives in protection, and the more she is challenged the stronger she becomes. She has an intense and demanding hold and bark executed in a very in-your-face manner with an intimidating deep and raspy pitch to her barking. Her grips are always fast, full, and very hard with power and speed rarely seen in a female. She hits hard with lightning fast strikes on the escapes and courage test.
She comes from a respected working line pedigree known to produce attractive dogs with strong drive and ideal temperament qualities. She is a true representative of her outstanding pedigree! Alma was born in a litter consisting of eight puppies, six of which are titled, and one is a working Police K9. The entire litter was certified with “A1” hips, and all of the dogs who were tested for elbows (7 out of the 8) also had “A” elbows. These are the best hip and elbow ratings given for German Shepherds in Germany.
Alma is the granddaughter of V Exe vom Schmiedegarten, an excellent producer of top dogs and the daughter of V Aly vom Vordersteinwald Aly was the second highest producer of dogs shown at the past three BSPs over any other dog. Exe has produced numerous dogs that have competed at the BSP, including LGA winners. Alma’s mother’s bloodline comes through the very famous competitors and producers Aron vom Bracheler See and V Yoschy von der Döllenwiese.
